Water Quality - A Key Factor In Your Hydroponic Garden!

The quality of water is frequently overlooked by new hydroponic farmers.

Growing hydroponically, the gardener dissolves plant nutrients in water and then feeds the solution to the plant, allowing it to grow without soil. Additives like hydrogen peroxide will not only release oxygen as it breaks down in the reservoir, but it will also keep pathogens at bay.

While managing things like temperature and dissolved oxygen levels within your system is very important, another even more vital parameter to keep in the correct range is PH. Additionally, you should test the electrical conductivity (EC) of your nutrient solution. All serious hydroponic farmers, should have an EC meter, so they can monitor the nutrient levels of their water.

Having as few impurities as possible in the feed water is essential since water is the main carrier of nutrients.

Once you start giving your plants higher quality water, you’ll start seeing better results.
